Albany Community Action Partnership's Early Learning Center is a full-day child care facility serving families with children aged six (6) weeks to five (5) years old. The Early Learning Center opened its doors on Monroe Street in downtown Albany in 2003, and it provides a much needed service for the city.

The Early Learning Center operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., offering children a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities in a warm, nurturing environment, at affordable rates (including Department of Social Services subsidized care enrollment acceptance), with dedicated and educated teachers and staff members. Along with learning activities, the center provides nutritious meals, opportunities for rest and napping, as well as time to engage in fine and gross motor activities.

In addition to child care, the Early Learning Center offers classrooms providing Head Start programming and integrated classroom placement for children with special needs. We are a licensed day care, and licensing is regulated by the New York State Office of Child and Family Services, to provide day care services for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children.

Although the Early Learning Center is still in its early stages of development, Albany County Opportunity strives to make it a premiere child care facility designed to meet the needs of the community and working families.
