Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) supports the progress of individuals and their families to economic self-sufficiency. Whether someone has only temporarily been out of the job market or is looking to join the workforce for the first time, ACAP has services to support the journey. Not only will ACAP provide appropriate training and assistance to find a new job, but additional support is also available to help with the transition and to turn the new job into a career.

CareerLinks provides assistance for persistently underemployed and unemployed residents of Albany County. Participants receive job readiness training, placement, and retention assistance as well as many other support services.
Career Pathways is an integrated program within our CareerLinks department and provides specific training and education to our participants interested in a career within one of six growing industries in the Capital Region. A structure is implemented to help each person advance within that industry over time.
Dress for Success Albany is an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide and provides interview suits, confidence building, and career development to referred women who are transitioning into the workforce.
