CareerLinks: Creating Opportunities That Last
became an active program at ACAP in August of 2008. This merger has allowed expansion of our program services and has made a measurable difference in the lives of our clients.
All of CareerLinks’ services address the high and persistent un- and underemployment in Albany’s inner-city communities of West Hill, Arbor Hill, and South End.
Program Mission
To deliver effective job readiness, placement, and retention services to low-income men, women, and youth in Albany County. This program is uniquely designed to facilitate personal accountability and growth in each customer, often going beyond the scope of employment.
"CareerLinks has proven to be an excellent resource for recruiting dependable people. Through internships arranged by CareerLinks staff, we are able to assess each individual’s abilities and work habits prior to making a hiring commitment."
