Please come back often to check our progress! Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) is the federally-designated Community Action Agency for the County of Albany, NY. Read about our Agency Mission and our Vision and Guiding Principles. ACAP is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency. Our agency offers several different services to assist Albany County residents with some fundamental needs: the warmth of a coat, food for a meal, and heating assistance for a home. ACAP helps fulfill these basic needs in an effort to help break the cycle of poverty and empower our communities within Albany County.
Our list of programs for Albany County includes: Child Care at our Early Learning Center Weatherization Assistance Program Family and Community Development Children's Center at Family Court Voluntary Tax Assistance (VITA) CareerLinks: Creating Opportunities that Last Working Families Food Stamp Initiative Cohoes Food Pantry Family Development Credentialing Program ACAP also offers networking, information and referrals to other agencies and organizations. Our Board of Directors is made up of local community representatives of the private business and low-income sector, and members of local government or their appointees.
