Welcome to Albany Community Action Partnership

Welcome to the Albany Community Action Partnership web site! As our agency grows and changes, we will continue to update AlbanyCAP.org to reflect these changes. Please come back often to check our progress!

Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) is the federally-designated Community Action Agency for the County of Albany, NY. Read about our Agency Mission and our Vision and Guiding Principles.

ACAP is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency. If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to our agency of your time, money, or services, please visit our Donations area, or contact our Administrative Office.

Our agency offers several different services to assist Albany County residents with some fundamental needs:  the warmth of a coat, food for a meal, and heating assistance for a home. ACAP helps fulfill these basic needs in an effort to help break the cycle of poverty and empower our communities within Albany County.

Our list of programs for Albany County includes:

If you would like to access any of our services, simply use our web site menu on the left to locate information, or feel free to e-mail us or use our online contact form.  Please provide a current phone number or address and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Our Board of Directors is made up of local community representatives of the private business and low-income sector, and members of local government or their appointees.

If you are interested in employment opportunities within the Agency, we have several positions available within our programs for dedicated people.
